Set in Tokyo in 1933, Under the Cherry Blossoms follows Sakura, a young geisha whose carefully ordered life changes when a mysterious blind woman entrusts her with Taro—a remarkable puppy descended from the legendary Hachikō.
What begins as an unexpected companionship soon becomes an unbreakable bond. Taro brings warmth and devotion into Sakura’s world, but his arrival also draws her toward secrets that reach beyond the teahouse and into her own family. When someone she loves is placed in danger, Sakura must leave behind the life she knows and follow a trail of coded messages, hidden loyalties, and long-buried truths.
